Starting the Day with a Family Meal at Cunda Balkonak…

Mornings at Cunda Balkonak do not start with just one meal; they start with a tradition, with care, with love. Everything on our spread breakfast table is prepared naturally by the hands of the Cunda Balkonak family, with the accumulation of years. Olives were picked at the first light of the morning, jams were boiled from fruits ripened by the summer sun. Honey comes directly from the neighboring village, butter comes from local dairies.

Nothing is done hastily or “for the customer” at this table; everything is prepared sincerely, as if you are a friend who has come to visit. It is not even enough to say as if the mother touched the hand; because the mother really touched this table. The smell of tomatoes reminds you of your childhood, the cheese in the pancakes takes you to the stone houses of Cunda in one bite. Every time you open the lid of the jam jars, a summer daylight falls on your table.

And that table... It is set in the garden of the hotel, among the sounds of birds, in the shade of bougainvillea. Dec. Together with your children, you dip the bread that you have plucked with your hands into olive oil. At that moment, not only your stomach is full, but also your heart.
